MECHANICAL
Mechanical paintball refers to markers that only use a mechanical mechanism to actuate the marker. It's one shot one pull, you own every shot you take and every elimination you make. Typically mechanical markers are single trigger only but they are uncapped in that you can shoot them as fast as you can pull the trigger.
-
ELECTRO
Electro paintball uses markers with built in electronics and micro switches which fire the marker. These markers have various features built into them including firing modes that comply with different tournament standards. The most common is called 10.5 BPS Ramping, this is where once the marker is fired at a certain rate of fire the programming fills in shots to maintain a 10.5 balls per second maximum rate of fire.
-
MAGFED
Magfed Paintball uses markers that feed paintballs via magazines only. Typically magfed markers look more realistic and feed up to 20 rounds per magazine. Some magfed markers are able to shoot a special type of paintball with a rear fin which spins the paintball, when this is combined with a special 'rifled' barrel it makes the marker significantly more accurate over longer distances.
FIGHTCLUB
Anyone can attend fightclub, scratch teams are formed for each match from the players at the arena ready to play. The format is either Mechanical 10 man on the Hyperball field or electro 5 man on the Supair field. Players can play as many matches as they like during the day. This is a fun tournament lite experience that individuals and groups of players of all different levels of experience and ability can all attend together.

HYPERBALL
Hyperball was invented in 1996 with the first Hyerball World Cup held in Birmingham England in 1997. It was a seminal stepping stone in the evolution of concept paintball fields and was designed to be sport and spectator focused. Hyperball fields typically feature complexes of interlinked Hyper Tube bunkers, the sound of paint hitting the bunkers is unforgettable and adds to the atmosphere and adrenalin fuelled experience. Today Hyperball is leading the way in the resurgence of Classic paintball, where 10 man teams compete using mechanical markers across a range of field types including Hyperball, Woodland, Mound, Hybrid and Supair fields to find out who truly has mastered the game.

SUPAIR PAINTBALL
Supair inflatable bunkers were invented in 1996 as the sport moved out of the woods and into stadiums. Tournament organisers used this new type of bunker to create exciting symmetrical field designs that were easy to transport and assemble in arenas and were easier to spectate. In 2002 the XBall format was invented, it introduced digital scoreboards and buzzers at start gates to register points scored. Xball is played on supair fields, teams of five players face off each point and score as many points as possible within the allotted match time by eliminating the opposition and hitting the buzzer at the other teams start gate. The field re-sets after each point scored and the teams switch ends to start again. Variations include 1 on 1 events, 3 man, 7 and 10 man competitions all held on supair fields.
